Summer is synonymous with disconnecting. While many prefer to use this time of year to relax and recharge, others take advantage of their days off to enjoy one of the many festivals held each summer in Spain. If you are one of those people, stay tuned, we bring you a list of our favorites.
1. Reggaeton Beach Festival
The reggaeton festival par excellence. The Reggaeton Beach Festival has established itself as one of the most powerful events of the summer in our country. With a line-up that brings together the genre’s most popular artists such as Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, or Myke Towers, it is a unique opportunity to enjoy urban music. The best part? This summer it’s being held in up to 12 cities in Spain, so you’re spoilt for choice!

We travel to Arriondas, Asturias, to find Riverland, an underground street style festival with well-known faces but also with emerging artists. With a rest area and glamping, it allows you to combine the experience with camping in the open air. In addition, the site has several fast-food trucks, bars for drinks and even a supermarket so that those camping don't have to travel.

3. FIB and Rototom
Benicásim has become one of the Spanish towns that hosts the most festivals each year. Among them, you must know the FIB, one of the most famous in Spain, and this year it will celebrate its thirteenth edition after years and years of absolute success. A party where pop, rock, indie, and electronic come together to dance to the rhythm of groups like the Black Eyed Peas.

But there is more. The coastal town also hosts one of the few reggae festivals held in Spain, Rototom. Born in 2010, this year it will be held between 16 and 21 August and will feature roots reggae, jazz, afrobeat and dancehall. Music, sun and beach. There are few better destinations than Benicásim.

Let's go with another combo. If Cullera was already known for attracting the best DJs on the international scene with the Medusa Beach Festival, since 2022 it has been consolidated thanks to the Zevra Festival, an event with a spectacular line-up that brings together some of the most popular reggaeton and pop artists in Spanish. Electronic or urban music, you choose. Fun is guaranteed.

- Zevra: Cullera, Valencia - From July 19 to 22
- Medusa: Cullera, Valencia - From August 7 to 12
Still on the reggaeton wave, we bring you the Boombastic, one of the country's most popular festivals, which this summer will bring together singers like Saiko, Yandel, Rels B, or Nicki Nicole. But there’s more! You will find many more styles with some of the favourite singers of the youngest, such as Ayax, Dani Fernández, Cruz Cafuné, or Belén Aguilera. This year it will be held in Llanera, Málaga, and Alicante, so there’s no excuse. Choose the city you prefer and get ready to enjoy the best music!

We return to the north to travel to Bilbao, where the BBK Live is held, one of Spain's most established festivals. After hosting names like Coldplay, Green Day or Childish Gambino, this year it continues to prioritise pop, rock, and indie music, but without neglecting new trends.
Located on Mount Cobetas, it’s a different option, surrounded by nature, with camping options, and lots of restaurants and supermarkets near the venue. Moreover, there are several types of tickets available, check their website to choose the one you prefer.

If you love rap and urban music you can't miss the Pirata Beach Festival. With more than 60 groups and singers, the most famous faces of the genre gather on the beach of Gandía from 10 to 13 July. From legends like SFDK to new stars like Cruz Cafuné or Natos y Waor, as well as Zoo, Oques Grasses and The Tyets as examples of the greatest exponents of music in catalan. Here's the line-up, it won't leave you indifferent!

A heavyweight on the Spanish festival scene. It was the best-selling festival of 2023, and this summer it promises to remain one of the country's benchmarks. The Arenal Sound returns to Burriana from July 30 to August 4 with artists of all styles. Aitana, Yandel, Morad, and Louis Tomlinson will be the headliners in an edition that will feature artists of all musical styles.

Finding rap, urban genres, reggae, flamenco and electronica in the same place is possible, and that only happens at Rabolagartija. This year it will be held in Villena and will feature Soziedad Alkoholika, SFDK and La Pegatina as headliners.

Barcelona is one of the Spanish cities that hosts the most festivals throughout the year.
